I guess the US invasion to liberate Afghan women has failed. The realities of rape falling under the crime of adultery in some Muslim countries has not gone without protest by many human rights lawyers who are fighting to reform such laws in their own counties.
However in a place that is still very ruled by tribal custom masquerading as religious law and where the US occupation is not allowing any positive change - women like Gulnaz have a lot more to be concerned about than their burqas.
