I see these images, and I wonder, what life is like for them...is it horrendous or is it just much simpler compared to ours...
Most of the time I want to just wander aimlessly around in a daze...not needing or desiring anything....just beng content and blissful about nothing in particular. I see people like this woman in this image, and for them, life is survival...not accumulation and greed. I miss surviving.
Anonymous...maybe I wasn't recise or maybe I didn't articulate my point correctly because you misunderstood.
I am sure these women struggle daily..they dont have time to wander around aimlessly (that was not an implication) ...especially when they fight to survive.
I wish that I could wander around though...
We all go throuh shit in our lives...and yes the degrees vary and some are minuscule in comparison to other's trials and tribulations...but it doesn't mean that we dont hurt any less.
Support systems are non-existent to many different people...and alienation is not exclusive to the Berber women.
I wish for a simpler, less materialistically inclined life where morals and values are prominent and not almost extinct, where religion is practiced as it should be, and not in accordance to what suits men, where life holds some value to others...And if there is a chance that this wish can come true, then please, I'm beggin for it.

I doubt very much if these women 'wander aimlessly around in a daze' and I am certain that it is a very unpleasant existence.
Surviving is difficult, especially if there is no support system. Fulfilling one's desire however is a matter of choice.
Be careful what you wish for... You may just get it.

This blog previously referred to Henry David Thoreau who said:
"Things do not change, we change."
Now now kiddies, say no to war! Maybe we should organise Survivor Sahara and you can let it all out there!
