Defining Real...

Incase you were wondering, “Meaningful” is not a new series about slutty housewives and “real” is definitely not a Wii game! What happened to forever, or is it the product name for some Hollywood star trying her hand at a fragrance?

There she sat wondering what was actually meaningful? Beyond God and the end of the universe of course, this was about the rest of the stuff , what does mean something ? What do you give someone that actually means something, that leaves a lasting impression and that totally lets them know what they mean to you?

Where is that smile that meant everything and the hug that healed? The Mammoths and Saber Tooth Tigers of human interaction? Lost to the annals of History? Somewhere beneath this facade “real” awaits rediscovery.

She hated (yes strong word usage, blah) that honesty is now a rarity that americans shrinks sold as a program - “radical honesty”! Had honour , truth and dignity all been incarcerated at Guantanamo as well?

Good question and, as you know, there isn't a simple answer.

When giving something to someone, I think you have to know what they need or want--not what you "think" they need. Meaningful can be many things, so it's tricky. You may pour out your heart in a letter or with gifts, for example, when all the other person wants is your time.

That's my 2 cents....

So true. We have forgotten what 'real' means. Everything is so superficial. Ask a 70 year old n they can tell u whats real. Our generation needs to grow the hell up. The definition of love has changed over the years n its so freaken sad.
